Review: Bare Escentuals bareVitamins Prime Time foundation primer.

Phew, could the name be any longer? I know there are HUNDREDS of reviews on this product, but I couldn't resist! And honestly, this is probably my favourite foundation primer to date. Packed full of ingredients that are good for your skin, this primer will make foundation stay on longer and provide a smoother application. For me personally, it makes my foundation last about 2 hours longer than without, and did not cause breakouts. One pump covers the whole face. Works for all skin types! I love the feel of this product, it comes out as a light weight gel.

It feels cool, and melts into the skin. The size is 30mls, and I got it online from StrawberryNET, which is awesome because the shipping is free, and delivery is fast. Plus first time customers get a free gift! Hooray! Would I buy this product again? YES! 5/5 stars from me.

Thanks for reading!

Another rainy day in Paradise......

No, I'm not going to post a blog complaining about the weather, infact, I actually love rain. Its Winter here, and I love how the seasons change so radically! As I was walking my son to school today, I couldn't help but notice how most of the parents were carrying umbrellas, for themselves and their children, and seeing the display of a hundred or so umbrellas in all of their whimsical gaiety brought the largest smile to my face. I have somewhat of an obsession for umbrellas, and scoured the net (Googled) to find some of my fave umbrella pics to show you guys. Enjoy~!

Review: Dr. Lewinn's Synergise Anti-ageing Toner

Hey all! I saw the Dr Lewinn's Anti-ageing range in a magazine that I always buy, and learned that they started selling it at my local supermarket! I'd seen it in pharmacies before but had never tryed it, but being a mother I'm almost always in the supermarket picking up things, and couldn't keep going past the Dr. Lewinn's section without making a wee purchase. Plus I was out of toner!

It is a little on the pricey side, but is often on special. Compared to other brands I've tryed, this toner is great. It has a really nice smell (kinda like a berry-apple) and doesn't leave my skin feeling all tight like some other toner. And also its alcohol-free! :) This product did not make me break out after first using it and is 150ml's so will last a long time. also, it doesn't leak like some other toners do, so good to take travelling.

My husband commented on it saying it looks a bit like mouthwash, so make sure your men-friends do NOT attempt to put in in their mouths!!

I rate this product 4/5 stars, it smells great, works well, doesn't cause zits (for most skin types) but is a bit pricey for a supermarket item. Quality over quantity, my dad always says!

Lots of love, Belinda

Review: Revlon Colorstay Foundation

Revlon Colorstay......I LOVE this foundation! This is the only foundation from Revlon that I really like, it lasts all day, blends easily and gives great coverage. It comes with or without a pump (the pump bottles cost a little extra, but are worth it as it comes out of the bottle easier). Looks great in photographs, all too often foundations with an SPF look really pale or white in photos but not this stuff! I have been using it for years, and haven't yet found another foundation at this cost with such good quality. 29.5ml with SPF 15. I've found it is best applied using a stippling brush. This foundation lasts for months, too and can be found at most pharmacies.

Great quality, great price, easy to apply and even coverage......5/5 stars!

Hey guys!

My name is Belinda and I am a full time mum, with a passion for makeup and writing. Now that my eldest son is it school, I've been given some more time to do other things, and I'm seriously thinking about planning a career in Makeup Artistry. Where I live, the courses for learning about Makeup are very limited (literally there is only one school that teaches it here and I can't afford it at this time). So becoming a self-taught, freelance artist is my best chance. This will involve alot of practise on myself and friends, developing a portfolio and building a great social network! I already know alot about how makeup works, different brands/qualities, I've even done work as a model so have been given the chance to see real makeup artists on set, and how they present themselves.

Anyway, I'll be blogging about new products, products I've tested and liked/disliked, application methods, all sorts of makeup-related things, and also about being a mum!

Stay tuned :D

Belinda~
